The state of Uttarakhand houses multitudes of cities and towns that have developed here by leaps and bounds. Kashirampur is quite significant amongst them. Kashirampur is an example of a census town lying in the district of Pauri Garhwal District of the same state of Indian territory.

Any discussion on Indian town becomes incomplete if one does not throw some light on the demographical scenario of the particular town. So numerous surveys have been conducted by the demographers, which resulted in the formulation of extensive reports. One such is the Census report of India that has been published in the year 2001. Information like population, literacy condition etc can be enumerated if one makes a thorough study of the report. Thus according to this report, Kashirampur showed a population measurement of 9033. Out of it, male populace constitutes of 51percent. 49 is the percentage of female populace. Thus it led one to infer that in Kashirampur females are more in number than males. Information about kids who are residing in Kashirampur too can be deciphered. Thus children who fall into the age group of less than six years constitutes of 13 percent.

Since literacy rate gives an indication of how much growth and development has occurred in a town, few facts about Kashirampur too is essential. From the census report it has been known that the average literacy rate of Kashirampur is 76 percent, which is even higher than that of the entire nation. Thus 59.5 percent is the average literacy rate of India. On individual basis also both male and female literacy rates are quite high as well. To be specific, male literacy rate constitutes of 81 percent. Following the usual trend, female literacy rate is less thereby constituting 72 percent.

Few information about the Pauri Garhwal District too can be inferred from varied sources as well. The soil of the district is ideal for the growth of vegetables and fruits. Vegetables like peas, cauliflower and many more are grown here. Leechi, apple, peach etc are fruits that are popular in the whole district.
